Hyperion Principal Consultant

Kerdock is currently hiring full-time consultants and project managers to meet the growing demand for our services. Such individuals should possess a blend of technical skills as well as a working understanding of enterprise-level accounting systems. Ideally, candidates should have experience with one or more of the following products:

• Hyperion System 9 Platform
• Hyperion Essbase
• Hyperion Planning
• Hyperion Financial Management
• Hyperion Enterprise
• Hyperion Interactive Reporting
• Hyperion SQR
• Brio Intelligence

The Hyperion Principal Consultant is responsible for working on implementations of Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management applications for Kerdock clients. As a Principal Consultant, you would be working as part of a project team that includes a Kerdock Project Manager as well as client personnel. This position includes both technical consultants responsible for infrastructure, customization, and integration of Hyperion applications; as well as functional consultants who possess a deep understanding of corporate accounting concepts including: financial reporting, budgeting and planning, consolidations, and SOX compliance.

This position requires 80% - 100% travel. What this means is that you would be required to travel to the client site Monday through Friday (sometimes Monday through Thursday) and log in a minimum of 40 billable hours. Kerdock’s projects are mostly in Texas, but we have several out-of-state clients. Typical projects can last anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months. Note that you may use Houston, Dallas, or Austin as a home base.

Skills required for a technical consulting position:
• 3-5 years experience with SQL programming
• 3-5 years with OLAP technologies
• 3-5 years with an enterprise accounting system such as Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft
• 3-5 years with a business intelligence package such as Hyperion (preferred), Cognos, Business Objects, or Crystal Reports
• 3-5 years development experience with platforms such as Java or .NET
• 3-5 years experience with scripting language such as JavaScript of VB Script
• General knowledge of operating systems, RDMBS platforms, and web technologies
• Bachelors degree in computer science or management information systems
• Ability to travel 80% - 100%

Skills required for a functional consulting position:
• 3-5 years experience with one of the above mentioned Hyperion products
• 3-5 years experience with a similar product from another EPM application vendor
• 3-5 years with an enterprise accounting system such as Oracle, SAP, or Peoplesoft
• Detailed knowledge of the enterprise-level accounting including the financial close process, creation of financial statements for public companies, budgeting and forecasting, and financial consolidations.
• Bachelors degree in accounting, CPA, or MBA
• Ability to travel 80% to 100%
